The Accounts Payable / Travel Expense Technician is responsible for weekly processing of accounts payable and employee expense reports, and monthly preparation journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations. This role also requires preparation and analysis of monthly cost reports.


  • Reconcile and upload monthly travel costs
  • Prepare Daily travel report and distribute to office leadership
  • Accurately code and enter invoices in Deltek Software for designated AP
  • Set-up new vendor accounts and profiles
  • Enter manual check requests and cash advances
  • Periodic review of all open payables and outstanding checks
  • Review expense reports for accuracy and compliance with Gensler policies
  • Reconcile P-Card accounts and compile back-up for upload in BOA Works software
  • Review & prepare approved month end journal entries
  • Reconcile monthly balance sheet accounts
  • Prepare monthly departmental cost reports
  • Assist with Cash Receipt entries when required
  • Miscellaneous projects as requested


Candidate must be:

  • Highly organized, detail oriented with a high level of accuracy
  • Pro-active and able to work effectively in a team environment
  • Able to work well under pressure with multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Proficient in data entry with strong excel skills
  • Well written with excellent verbal communication skills
  • Able to respond to vendors, consultants and staff in a timely and professional manner
