Gensler’s Seattle office was established in 2000 to provide services in architectural and workplace design to the Puget Sound Region.  In this short period, we have received fourteen design awards.  Our clients include financial services, professional services firms, corporate and regional headquarters, advertising, retail, academia, museums, and transportation. 

We are looking for a Junior Architecture Designer with strong experience in COB and an architectural background to join the Gensler Seattle studio. 

Our Ideal candidate:

  • Be able to work independently and with project teams in creating representations of design sketches or developed projects

  • Work with the Design Director(s) and project team (s) on conceptual designs, presentations, design development, and production.

  • Able to research solutions to either artistic, or technical, issues when they arise.

  • A good understanding of Light and Color. Along with composition, and basic art principles.

  • Posses strong communication skills, time management, and a self-driven work ethic

Qualifications Include:

  • Bachelor degree in Architecture (or foreign equivalent), advanced degree preferred

  • 5-10 years of relevant post graduate architecture and design experience, with a strong background designing multiple building typologies of varying scale
  • Expert knowledge of modeling in 3ds Max or Rhino utilizing Vray.

  • High level experience translating architect's sketches and CAD documents into realized 3D models and images

  • Advanced experience in rendering architecture and interiors with high level of proficiency

  • Proficiency in Revit, Rhino, Grasshopper, and 3ds Max
  • Knowledge of materials, construction techniques, and building codes.

  • Proficiency in Building Information Modeling and parametric design software including Grasshopper
