Gensler’s San Jose office is searching for a senior architectural designer (15+ years) to help build the architectural practice in Silicon Valley. We are looking for a key player and leader who can develop relationships, lead design teams and further develop an architectural practice in our office. Exceptional design skills, a portfolio of innovative design concepts, and an emphasis on built work are desired. Experience with designing interior projects is a plus.
Responsibilities:
Involvement in all phases of the design process including programming, schematic design, design development and construction documents and construction administration.
Interaction with clients while representing Gensler at meetings and presentations.
Utilize hand rendering techniques to communicate design concepts to the client and the team;
Close collaboration with design team, clients, consultants, contractors and vendors;
Leading, developing and mentoring the architectural design team.
Partners with Principals in business development and the building of the architecture practice
