Description
CallisonRTKL seeks an Interior Designer to join its Commercial
Practice Group located in Chicago. The successful candidate will be
involved in hospitality, mixed-use, retail and shopping mall interior
projects.
Responsibilities

Plans, designs, drafts and manages the project process for mid-to-large scale projects

Produces design documents from concept through construction documentation
-
Specifies FF& E (fixture, furniture and equipment)

Guides, directs and develops junior staff through senior management
-
Negotiates critical and controversial issues with appropriate parties
-
Collaborates with other lead professionals to ensure design and documentation are in accordance with project expectations

Serves as a strong contributor during client meetings and presentations

Understands and manages financial impact of design on assigned projects
Requirements
-
Bachelor's degree in Interior Architecture, Interior Design or related design field
-
4-8 years of interior design and/or interior architecture experience
-
Professional registration preferred

Ability to prioritize and concurrently service multiple projects

Maintains effective communication with project team members
-
Interacts well with other disciplines and clients in a manner that builds productive relationships

Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit
-
Experience in SketchUp and Adobe Suite, including InDesign and Photoshop

LEED accreditation preferred
