Description
CallisonRTKL seeks a mid-level Architect to join its Commercial
Practice Group located in Chicago, IL. This position will be responsible
for all phases of design including interpreting, organizing, executing
and coordinating design assignments. This position
will develop design concepts for one or more projects under the direct
supervision of the senior designer, in a manner consistent with firmwide
standards for project delivery. The ideal candidate will be a flexible,
team-oriented individual with previous design
experience on mid-to-large scale retail, high-rise residential and
mixed-use projects.
Responsibilities

Works closely with senior staff supporting design tasks

Serves as project liaison, communicating with clients, consultants and other contacts

Leads design development and construction documentation preparation

Supports design team with site/context analysis, design concepts, drafting and visualization

Produces drawings and renderings

Conducts research for the project team

Maintains effective communication with team members
-
Coordinates with project consultants
-
Produces graphic presentations and builds computer and physical models
-
Organizes files, materials and displays
-
Participates in client meetings and presentations as needed
Requirements
-
Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a design related field
-
4-8 years of architecture experience

Experience working on domestic and/or international mid-to-large scale retail, high-rise residential and mixed-use projects

Interiors experience preferred

Residential and mixed-use experience preferred

Ability to prioritize and concurrently service multiple projects

Effective problem solving, interpersonal skills and ability to interface with employees

Interacts well with other disciplines and clients in a manner that builds productive relationships

Strong graphic and presentation skills

Proficient in Illustrator, Photoshop, SketchUp, Rhino, Revit, 3D Studio and rendering software

Proficient in two or more languages preferred, i.e. Spanish and Mandarin LEED accreditation preferred

Professional registration preferred
